Cankar Ludo Game

About project

The year 2018 is a special year. One hundred years ago, the Slovenian writer and poet Ivan Cankar died. Eighty years ago, the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) was founded. Sixty years ago, the Slovenian writer and art historian Izidor Cankar died. Therefore, at the Chair of Information and Graphic Arts Technology (UL NTF KIGT), within the framework of three courses, we decided to mark the anniversaries in a special way. The idea of board games was born. In the course of Typeface Design, we developed fonts that remind us of Ivan and Izidor Cankar. At the courses Packaging 2 and Innovation Management, we developed board games from ideas through prototypes to finished products. We collected the products in an exhibition, which is on display at the Atrium ZRC (Novi trg 2, Ljubljana).

Mentors: Urška Stanković Elesini, Urška Vrabič Brodnjak, Nace Pušnik, Jani Toroš.

We would like to thank for participating in the project to Jerneja Fridl, Nina Ditmajer, Irena Naglič, Marko Juvan, Luka Vidmar, Marijan Dović, Marjetka Golež (all ZRC SAZU), Marijan Rupert (NUK) and Katja Malovrh Rebec.

We also thank colleagues (from Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design)
