About project
In the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019, we faced a challenge that was not yet performed at the faculty. At the initiative of the newly emerging music group Lola in red in the subjects of Integration of Design and Technology and Creative typography (both master studies of Graphic and Interactive Communications), we carried out a collaboration in which we designed and prepared graphic outlook for the newly formed music group.
At subject Integration of design and technology, students were divided into groups, where they had to produce a logo. By discussing, adjusting and, in particular, accepting compromises, logos were created and were the basis for further products, i.e. business card, envelope, correspondence card, poster, ticket, flyer, CD, promotional t-shirt, website templates and social networks. 9 creative solutions were created and represent the possibility for newly established music group.
In the Creative typography course, the task was based on the individual work. Assignment was to create letters that make up the name Lola in red. It was necessary to create four different typefaces. The students were placed in front of the challenge of creating serif, linear, decorative and manuscript typefaces. The resulting typefaces represented a creative work and are basis for monograms or ex-librises, which can be used as additional graphic products for the promotion of the music group. 72 different monograms / ex-libris were created.
