Rok za prijavo: 30. julij \/ interes lahko izka\u017eete do petka 2. julija 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Razpis je odprt za afri\u0161ke dr\u017eavljane z 2-7 let raziskovalnih izku\u0161enj (od zaklju\u010dka doktorskega \u0161tudija), da pripravijo odli\u010den raziskovalni predlog za izvedbo raziskav na afri\u0161ki univerzi ali afri\u0161ki raziskovalni instituciji.\u00a0 Razpis koristi afri\u0161kim univerzam in njihovim raziskovalcem &#8211; vendar bi lahko \u010dasovno bivanje na evropski partnerski univerzi okrepilo vsako prijavo (npr. gostovanje v obliki secondmenta), zato bi bilo lahko tudi v na\u0161em neposrednem interesu podpreti mo\u010dne kandidate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ARISE programme<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, I am delighted to inform you that the African Research Initiative for Scientific Excellence (ARISE) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aasciences.africa\/call\/arise\">call for applications<\/a> just opened today. The deadline for applying is 30 July.<\/li>\n<li>As mentioned during the last North-South meeting, we would like to encourage you to let us know if you intend to recommend one\/several candidates <strong><u>by Friday, 2 July<\/u><\/strong>. We would then aim to organise an info session with the concerned applicants, in order to exchange thoughts and information on the application process. This is a new call, and we feel it might be helpful to share notes on some on the key parameters of the call (e.g. geographical balance, etc).<\/li>\n<li>As a reminder, the call is open to African nationals with 2-7 years of research experience since completion of their PhD, a scientific track record showing great promise, and an excellent research proposal to conduct excellent research in an African university or research institution.<\/li>\n<li>The call benefits African Universities and their researchers \u2013 however, a research stay for a period of time at a European partner university could strengthen any application, so it might be also in our immediate self-interest to support strong candidates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Horizon EU\u2019s Africa Initiative<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Second, you might have seen that the Horizon EU <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_21_2993\">2021-2022 main work programme<\/a> was published yesterday, with around 40 calls and more than \u20ac350 Mn for the \u2018Africa initiative\u2019. The Africa initiative encompasses Horizon Europe calls for proposals that require or encourage participation of African entities.
