V nadaljevanju spodaj posredujemo vabilo na osmi mese\u010dni seminar izbranih EUTOPIA-SIF raziskovalcev, ki bo potekal v \u010detrtek, 7. julija 2022, ob 13h na <\/strong>ZOOM-u.<\/strong><\/a> Udele\u017eba je lahko dragocen vpogled v mednarodne raziskovalne aktivnosti, ki potekajo pod okriljem zveze EUTOPIA.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowship Programme, monthly fellows seminars will take place, in which the 16 researchers enrolled in the first cohort will in turn present their research projects.<\/p>\n

We are therefore delighted to invite you to the 8th<\/sup> EUTOPIA-SIF Monthly Fellow Seminar<\/strong>, which will take place on Thursday 07 July 2022, 13:00-14:30 CEST<\/u>, and which you are all very welcome to attend.<\/p>\n

Project Title<\/td>\nA chemical approach to recycle thermosetting polymers<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Abstract<\/td>\nThermosetting polymers are found in numerous materials which are produced though a chemical process called crosslinking. Crosslinking is part of both natural and synthetic materials and is used to improve mechanical properties of e.g. rubber tires and hair. And yet, the permanent 3D crosslinked structure of these materials that gives them outstanding dimensional stability and durability presents a major worldwide challenge when it comes to their sustainable use and recycling. Herein, a conceptual design strategy for thermoset materials is presented that introduces switchable properties, thereby bringing the attractive feature of facilitating their structural repair, reshaping, disassembly, and aid their recycling.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Project Title<\/td>\nSynthesis of 3D magnetic nanostructures with precise shapes and sizes for the design of magnetic nanogenerators.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Abstract<\/td>\nA plethora source of energy that is ubiquitous in our environment and rarely tapped is magnetic noise from numerous electrical systems and electronic devices. Similar to sunlight and wind energy, magnetic noise can be renewably harvested and converted into useful electricity using nanogenerators. Herein, 3D magnetic nanostructures of different compositions, shapes, and sizes are synthesized for integration with piezoelectric polymers for the fabrication of efficient and sustainable magnetic nanogenerators towards harvesting low-frequency ambient stray magnetic energy. The target nanogenerators could potentially minimize the dependence on batteries, thus benefitting the fast-growing industry automation and the contemporary society at a sustainable scale.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
