Current pedagogical, scientific and professional fields mostly cover the following disciplines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mine surveying ( elementary geodesy, mine survey) and Geotechnology (engineering geodesy, geotechnical measurements):\n<ul>\n<li>Spatial survey and cartographic documentation of mining spaces and other underground structures;<\/li>\n<li>Surface objects survey (quarries, landfill areas, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Deformation Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Geometry of ore deposits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Geophysical surveying in mining and geotechnology:\n<ul>\n<li>Geological setting exploration for mineral prospecting, large civil engineering projects and oil mining;<\/li>\n<li>Application and development of specific geophysical research methods and instruments for geotechnical tasks;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mining site ecology:\n<ul>\n<li>Exploration of roof caving above mining faces and consequences on the transformation of surface;<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring survey of landslides and landfill locations mainly for remediation and safe operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both disciplines, with a tradition in classic mining, can successfully face modern problems through the use of a broad range of geotechnical knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEAD OF CHAIR<\/strong><br \/>\nassist. prof. dr.
