You are cordially invited to visit the IKAT <\/em>exhibition, where you can learn about one of the oldest and best-known textile dyeing techniques.<\/p>\n

The word ikat <\/em>means cord, thread, knot in Indonesian and also refers to a special process for dyeing yarn before weaving. It can be recognised by the characteristic blurred patterns that only come to life from a certain distance.
\nThe students have recreated the ikat <\/em>technique in an original way and created ten textile pictures that stand as spatial sculptures. Each of them is the result of an exploration of thread, colour and texture and offers a unique perspective on the link between tradition and contemporary design.<\/p>\n

We invite you to come closer and see from a distance how thread becomes a painting, how colour becomes space and how ikat becomes a modern textile narrative.<\/p>\n
