At the 42nd Idrija lace festival 2024, inspired by the slogan “Pop-up lace”<\/a>, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering (UL)<\/a>, Chair of Textile and Clothing Design<\/a> presents the project Free People around Jo\u017eef\u2019s shaft in Kajzer park. The abstract artistic language of lace installations talks about four personalities who, with their creative works of life, left an unforgettable mark on the cultural tradition of Idrija. The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Municipality of Idrija<\/a>, the Lacemaker’s School of Idrija<\/a> and the Association of Lacemakers of Idrija<\/a>. Outdoors, the traveling photography exhibition Men and Women in Mining will inhabit the Kajzer park, using a documentary approach to revive the daily life of former miners, which is hidden in the bowels of the abandoned premises around Jo\u017eef’s shaft.<\/p>\n

Twenty-one artistic installations in the meaningful environment of the former Joseph\u2019s Shaft will use abstract lace language to speak about four confident personalities<\/strong>, Pier Paolo Pasolini<\/strong>, Adolf \u0160inkovec \u2013 \u010crtomir<\/strong>, Francesco Macedonio<\/strong> and Ivanka Ferjan\u010di\u010d<\/strong>, whose creative life\u2019s work has unforgettably marked the cultural tradition of Idrija.<\/p>\n
