It is a cleverly crafted collage of twenty-six interconnected visual narratives created in a direct, intimate dialogue with the natural environment. Each of them expresses its own interpretation of nature, and together they form a harmonious, comprehensive work of art.
The project was created in a collaborative and experiential process in which the breath of nature not only serves as inspiration, but is also materially present – the colour tones of the base fabric are obtained exclusively with natural dyes.
The 2nd year Textile and Fashion Design students patiently and creatively built up a textile landscape from the colour tones to the final large-scale tufting structure. Using the power of the individual artistic units, they created a transcendent artistic whole that connects people with nature – through fibre, colour and form.

Exhibition at BIEN 2025

The project Fibreing the Landscape (2024/2025) is exhibited as part of the BIEN 2025, textile art biennial and can be seen in Gorizia at Palazzo Lantieri until August 14, 2025.

The authors

Second-year undergraduate students of Textile and Fashion Design:

Ema Čargo, Klara Čretnik, Alex Devetak, Petar Domić, Marija Grupčeva, Alina Kolar, Amelija Kracina, Laura Kresevič, Nađa Kurtalić, Dino Kurtović, Julija Lorenzutti, Matic Možina, Hristijan Nashulovski, Ana Pelcar, Isak Podgoršek, Žana Polšak Vahter, Klara Povirk, Sandra Pregelj, Ana Seles, Lučka Simič Hrovat, Lune Siter, Jaka Sojč, Tadej Šandor, Grega Štor, Vita Velikanje

Mentorship and Support

Mentors: izr. prof. mag.
