Selecting External Electives

The entire university undergraduate study programme (UN) Geotechnology and environmental engineering includes electives worth 18 CP (or 10%). Broader (external) electives are worth 8 CP, while the remaining 10 CP are reserved for professional subjects from the Optional Professional Subjects – 3rd Year Table.

Mobility

Students have the possibility of transferring 30 credit points (or one study semester) from another programme at another university or higher education establishment with which the UL has or will have an agreement on recognising the credit study system. The recognised 30 CP may either come from required subjects or electives. The study programme at another university must cover the same fields as the Geotechnology and environmental engineering study programme, for example programmes covering geosciences, geotechnics, mining, environmental protection, etc. The recognition applications will be reviewed individually and according to the procedure set out in the Statue of the UL and the NTF Rules.
