The educational programme is devised in such a way as to enable transfers between individual programmes.

1. A student may transfer from a post-secondary professional education programme to the undergraduate first-level professional study programme (VS) Geotechnology and Mining provided the candidate+
  • successfully completes his or her post-secondary studies in the field of geotechnology, mining, construction, mechanical engineering or other comparable post-secondary professional study programmes;
  • successfully completes differential exams requested by the NTF Studies Committee. This makes it possible for the candidate to enrol into Year 2 or the third semester of the undergraduate higher education professional study programme (VS) Geotechnology and Mining.
2. A student may transfer from the old first-level programme to the current undergraduate first-level professional study programme (VS) Geotechnology and Mining provided the candidate+
  • meets the criteria to enrol into the undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) professional study programme Geotechnology and Mining;

Enrolment into the second or third year of the current university undergraduate professional (VS) study programme Geotechnology and Mining is possible if:

  • the NTF Studies Committee fully recognises the candidate’s years or semesters in the current university undergraduate professional (VS) study programme;
  • the NTF Studies Committee recognises the candidate’s exams or other study requirements (when it comes to programmes with credit points, these are also recognised) from the previous programme; it also determines the necessary differential exams and other study requirements that the student needs to pass in order to enrol in a particular year or finish his or her studies according to the new undergraduate higher education professional (VS) programme;

Transfer applications are reviewed on an individual basis and in accordance with the procedure set out in the Statute of the UL and the NTF Rules.

3. Ways of transferring from the old post-secondary professional study programme to the current undergraduate higher education (VS) study programme Geotechnology and Mining+
  • By transferring from the old to the new study programme, the student’s education according to the study programme in which he or she was enrolled is terminated; the student’s education then continues in the framework of the new programme. The requirements that the student must fulfil when transferring from the old to the new study programme are laid down below in the sense of recognising the already fulfilled requirements according to the old programme and fulfilling the requirements according to the new programme.

Carrying out transfers

The possibilities offered by in-depth knowledge acquisition within individual narrow areas of the geotechnological and mining field are defined and laid down in the context of the new study programmes, making the following transfers possible:

  • After successfully completing Year 1 studies according to the old undergraduate higher vocational (VSŠ) programme – meaning all the required student obligations have been completed – it is possible to enrol into Year 2 of the new undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) study programme provided the student successfully passes the additional exams and other requirements requested by the NTF Studies Committee following the recommendation of the Department of Geotechnology, Mining and Environment;
  • It is also possible to enrol into Year 3 of the new undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) professional study programme provided all the requirements from the first two years of the old undergraduate higher vocational (VSŠ) programme have been completed and the student successfully passes the additional exams and other requirements requested by the NTF Studies Committee following the recommendation of the Department of Geotechnology, Mining and Environment;
  • It is possible to transfer to Year 2 of the undergraduate first-level university (UN) study programme Geotechnology and Mining according to the new programme provided the student has completed all requirements from the first two years of the new undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) professional study programme as well as passed the additional exams requested by the NTF Studies Committee following the recommendation of the Department of Geotechnology, Mining and Environment;
  • It is possible to transfer from the old undergraduate higher vocational (VSŠ) programme, which the student has not successfully completed, by enrolling into Year 3 of the new undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) professional study programme provided the student has passed the additional exams requested by the NTF Studies following the recommendation of the Department of Geotechnology, Mining and Environment;
  • It is possible to transfer after successfully completing Year 1 of the undergraduate first-level university (UN) study programme by enrolling into Year 3 of the new undergraduate first-level higher education (VS) professional study programme provided the student has passed the additional exams requested by the NTF Studies Committee following the recommendation of the Department of Geotechnology, Mining and Environment;
