External electives and mobility

Selecting External Electives
The entire postgraduate study programme in Geotechnology includes electives worth 12 CPs (or 10% of those provided). The student may choose electives offered by other study programmes at the NTF, those offered by other members of the University of Ljubljana and those offered by other universities in Slovenia and abroad with which the UL has or will have agreements on recognizing the credit-point study system; student may also choose electives from the professional courses listed in the Professional Electives Table for the Second-Level UN Study Programme.

Students have the possibility of transferring 30 credit points (or one study semester) from another programme at another university or higher education establishment with which the UL has or will have an agreement on recognising the credit study system. The recognised 30 CP may either come from obligatory subjects or electives. The study programme at another university must cover the same fields as the Geotechnology programme, for example programmes covering geosciences, geotechnics, mining, environmental protection, civil engineering etc. The recognition applications will be reviewed individually and according to the procedure set out in the Statutes of the UL and the NTF Rules.
