The course focuses on the following: composition of metallic and non-metallic materials, composite materials; concrete: structure, basic materials for concrete, hydration, structure, concrete design, properties of concrete and their testing, corrosion processes and their prevention, concrete for underground construction (shotcrete, microfibre concrete, etc.); steel: production, properties, testing and use for underground construction; wood: properties, testing and use for underground construction; waterproofing: properties, testing and use for underground construction; products from polymeric materials (pipes, drainage, etc.): properties, testing and use for underground construction; certification of construction products.
