The exploitation of geothermal energy sources and their use based on engineering solutions provided by geoscience. The field of geoscience includes: global location of resources and their classification, heat and mass transfer, geothermal reservoirs, research methods and the evaluation of geothermal sources. The topics are related to the thermodynamics of water, electricity production, measurements, drilling, the reserves of aquifers, surface design and direct use. The course presents the economic, environmental and social aspects of each individual case.
