The course content is the following: introduction to rock mechanics and rock engineering, stress and deformation in rocks, rock structure and anomalies, rock classification, burst fracture criteria in rocks, voltage measurement in rocks, methods for calculating primary and secondary voltage strain states around underground structures, design of underground structures in solid, layered and damaged rocks, technological processes for excavating in rocks, supporting elements and elements of rock reinforcement when constructing underground structures, dimensioning supports while taking into account the rock-supports system, geotechnical measurements and monitoring.
