Soil mechanics II

Analyses and solving of typical geomechanical problems, for example: calculation of initial tension, calculation of increased tension in the soil due to external loads, calculation of water flow in soils and filter nets, calculation of shifts and displacements, theoretical basis for the analysis of the stability of sloping hillsides and riverbanks, stability analyses of natural and man-made slopes, calculation of earth pressure on load-bearing constructions, calculation of the allowable soil bearing capacity.
