Defining the field of information design through insight into information research and discovery. What tools are important for the formation of information, how we use them to determine the visual terminology, data hierarchy, relationships, prototyping and testing, and to define the above through case studies.
The student achieves knowledge of: planning and preparing of multimedia; the development of visual concepts; basic grammar of moving pictures; form, narration and mise-en-scene; manipulation of time and space in multimedia; tools and environments for generating and visualisation of static and motion graphic elements and theory of digital compositing.
