Courses

In this course, students learn how to build state-of-the-art web-based user interfaces. Theoretical knowledge about the web (World Wide Web), its key technologies and essential building blocks, is extended with practical knowledge and skills, which are necessary to build user-friendly, accessible and efficient websites and applications.
Learning about the process of planning a new company; entrepreneurship; creativity; innovation; business planning; market analysis; testing the economics of a business idea; marketing planning; development plan of the production/service process; gaining suitable human resources; critical risk; financing initial business.
Use of the knowledge of graphic technologies in planning graphic products, services and production processes; project-oriented work methods; planning; product planning and processes; production programme, capacity, standardisation and typification; investment, selection of location, arrangement of equipment, ergonomics, humanisation, systematisation and evaluation of the difficulty of the work.

Planning, designing and production processes for packaging; case studies; 3D model development; concepts; visual languages for different types of packaging; ecological aspects; typology; non-packed goods; packaging series.
Second level packaging; smart packaging; biopolymer-based materials and biodegradable packaging, interaction between the products and packaging; migration and permeability; requirements for food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging; regulations and systems for handling packaging; basic testing of packaging products.
Learning about the technological operations of separation, reshaping and assembling materials in bookbinding, carton and other finishing; final processing of various graphic products (soft and hard cover books, brochures, newspapers, cartons and transport boxes, labels and endless forms); processing lines; manufacture of tools in carton finishing.
Getting to know the planning, design and implementation procedures for new typefaces through the analysis and use of letter material, parametric design, double-pencil method, digitization of drawings and vector drawing of glyphs. In addition, we deal with open-type functions, font testing and font functionality checking.
The goal of the subject is the study of: fundamentals of 3D modelling; topology in 3D production; subdivision surface; digital sculpturing, textures and materials; basis of light interactions; lights and shadow generation; local and global illumination; virtual camera, composition and basic rendering techniques.
Learning the concepts of quality and quality management systems; management, management systems and a historical review of management systems; competitiveness; development and demands of standards (ISO 9000, 9001); assessment and certification according to standards (ISO 9001); methods and techniques of quality management; economics of quality; self-evaluation and quality awards.
