Recognition of the textural and structural characteristics of ores from various types of mineral deposits (magmatic, pegmatitic, pneumatolithic, hydrothermal, sedimentary, weathering mineral deposits), determination of the sequence of crystallization of ore and gangue minerals, and conditions of their formation and redistribution of ore and gangue mineral components during the weathering.
During the exercises, students learn about detailed determination of mineral paregenes and the interpretation of the characteristics and conditions of the formation of various types of mineralisation and hydrothermal changes of the adjacent rocks.
