Transfer between programmes

Transferring implies the student’s education according to the study programme in which he or she enrolled is terminated; the student’s education then continues in the framework of the new programme.

It is possible to transfer from any university programme, provided that all the conditions necessary to enrol in the new programme are met.

Upon giving approval, the Studies Committee at the Department of Geology also determines special requirements: which courses and to what extent they are recognised as already passed and determines how many additional ECTS the student must acquire. On the basis of this, the Committee determines the year into which the student may transfer.

It is also possible to transfer from the present Geology university study programme. When wishing to transfer, the Committee takes into account the ECTS achieved in the context of the previous programme; this then serves as a basis of determining into which year the student may transfer. Transfers are also possible from all geology university study programmes at universities with verified study programmes. When transferring, ECTS achieved in the context of the previous programme are taken into account. Based on the points achieved in the course of the previous programme, the Committee decides into which year the student may transfer.
