The appropriate forms are available on the Student Administration Office website!

Year 3

CONDITIONS FOR EXTENDING STUDENT STATUSES

The graduation year (absolvent) is possible for students who have not repeated a year after 1 December 2012 or changed their study programme in the framework of their full-time studies.

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING STUDIES

In order to complete their studies, students must complete all requirements demanded by their courses, encompassing a total of 180 ECTS, including the undergraduate thesis; this awards the student an official title in accordance with the Professional and Academic Titles Act, i.e.: diplomirani/a inženir/ka geologije.

TESTING THE INDEKS BOOKLETS: The Indeks booklets, together with all inscriptions and frequencies inscribed by teachers, as well as the medical check-up stamps from Year 1 and Year 4 need to be handed over to the Student Administration Office. All dues at the university libraries must also be paid beforehand.

PAUSING A YEAR: In the event you do not fulfil the conditions for repeating a year or if you have already taken advantage of this option or if you have already switched your study programme, you have the right to put the year on “pause”. During this time, you may complete the missing exams (they must be paid in accordance with the UL price list); even though you do not have student status, you may work through certain student work services.
You are required to get medical insurance through the municipality (Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia)!

Before enrolling in a higher year, students must return all library materials and other equipment borrowed during the year.

Each lecturer informs students about the courses they need to pass before taking an exam in his or her course.

During their studies, students must attend approximately 70 days of field work. Participation is mandatory. The Department does not cover the expenses of field work.

The final part of the field work may only be attended by students who have completed half of the exams from the required courses.

During their studies, students are required to present three seminar papers; one of these must be in the field of geological mapping. The seminar papers are graded based on the content and the presentation.

The study is completed when the student defends his or her thesis.
