Historical geology: overview of stratigraphic developments and important events in specific geochronological eras: Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic
Stratigraphy of Slovenia: it represents a major part of the course and is based on a project-work on chosen stratigraphic problematics: overview of formational subdivision within individual chronostratigraphic eras, palaeogeographic reconstruction and evolution, correlation with surrounding regions
Detailed overview of the regional palaeogeographic evolution in the light of newly contributed knowledge.
