Students of the 2nd year of the master’s study in the course Costume Design developed costume sketches on the theme of the fairy tale Cinderella.

The students analyzed the text, the story and the plot, the time of the event and the space of the event.

They designed costume sketches for the following characters: Cinderella, stepmother, 2 sisters, prince, birds / fairy.

They had to play through 3 different dramaturgical – directing starting points, with the corresponding aesthetics.

So 3 versions of costumes were created:

own aesthetics,

distinctly artistic aesthetics on the theme by Robert Wilson, Angelina Atlagić or Alan Hranitelj,

conceptual – satirical aesthetics after the example of the authors Achim Freyer or Axel Manthey.

In this way, they tested themselves in 3 significantly different approaches to the same topic and had the opportunity to compare the persuasiveness of their initial concepts.
