The interdisciplinary doctoral study programme Art comprises 7200 hours or 240 ECTS credit points – 1800 hours or 60 ECTS credit points are dedicated to organised forms of study, and 5400 hours or 180 ECTS credit points to artistic research work. 1 ECTS is equivalent to 30 hours of student work.
Organised forms account for 25%, while research work constitutes 75% of student obligations. Lectures typically do not exceed 20% of all organised forms of teaching. The proportion of seminars, practical work and other forms of study averages more than 80%.
