About practical exercises (IM1)

Interactive media 1 – practical exercises

 

We will begin the exercises during the week of February 23–27, 2026.

If the exercises are conducted in a computer classroom, please bring headphones, as multimedia content is also used.

In the case of remote practical exercises (Zoom), students will receive a Zoom link via their email addresses listed in the VIS system.

Therefore, I kindly ask all students to pay attention to emails sent to their university (VIS) email addresses.

To complete the exercises successfully, you will need a computer and a reliable internet connection.

For the exercises, you will need to have the Python programming language or the IDLE package installed on your computer. You can download it from https://www.python.org/downloads/ .
You can also perform the installation during the exercise.

 

Outline:

Learning programming in the Python programming language.

 

The exercises are designed to be easy to follow, even for beginners, as they gradually and systematically guide them through the programming processes using the programming language.

 

When:

Schedule according to the published timetable.

 

Duration:

Approximately 14 weeks (subject to change depending on holidays);

Individual exercise: 2×45 minutes or 90-minute block

 

Attendance at exercises:

1 excused absence with a doctor’s note

Attendance in the classroom is checked during each exercise.

Attendance in the Zoom program is recorded automatically when you log in to the session.

 

Miscellaneous:

The assessment method, additional information, and answers to any additional questions regarding the course and the implementation of the exercises will be provided during the first introductory lesson.
