The students collections of the 1st and 2nd year of postgraduate studies was the last presentation on the day at the final student fashion show of Textile and Fashion Design, Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana. On Thrusday, March 30th 2017 at 6 pm at the Ljubljana Castle a total of 90 outfits of manˈs and womanˈs collections from six to fourteen silhouettes were showcased under the thematic title “MANUAL TECHNOLOGIES” as part of the Ljubljana Fashion Week.
1st year masters students: Katarina Radović, Katarina Kimovec, Jona Bednjanec, Saša Hašič, Dejan Petrović, Tjaša Zalar, Timi Bistan, Eva Bizjak and Anita Bizjak and the 2nd year masters students: David Bacali, Evgenija Zefirovska, Deni Pregelj and Julija Kaja Hrovat developed their collections under the mentorship of Prof. Almira Sadar, Assoc. Prof. Elena Fajt, Assoc. Prof. Nataša Peršuh, Prof. Marija Jenko, Tech. Assist. Nataša Hrupič, Tech. Assist. Alenka More, Tech. Assist. Marjeta Čuk and Tech. Assist. Andrej Vilar.
The entire presentation of Koto students at the Ljubljana Fashion Week was completed by the creations designed on the topic of the Idrija Lace, in cooperation with the Municipality of Idrija, Idrija Heritage Centre and Association of Idrija lace-makers. Students David Bacali, Anja Medle, Petra Frank, Julija Kaja Hrovat, Dejan Petrović, Admir Kapić, Kaja Repenšek, Valerija Intihar, Kaja Repenšek, Mateja Zajc, Denis Lukešević and Klara Dulc designed 12 unique cocktail and evening dresses, which included modern interpretation of Idrija lace. Later, the creations were also presented at the 36th Idrija Lace Festival.
