The course provides knowledge on the causes, mechanisms and ways of material destruction due to environmental impacts or combination with other impacts. Students learn how to fight corrosion, which causes enormous damage to the economy and presents risks to humans as well as the integrity of man-made products. The course includes various mathematical examples that help students to understand the corrosion processes occurring in materials.
