Goals: acquiring fundamentals of powder metallurgy, technological processes, fabrication and compacting powders, processes and procedures for forming and consolidation of powders, sintering and secondary operations, mechanical treatment of products, heat and surface treatment of metal powder products, metal joining, characterisation, selection, properties and applications of metal powder products, designing products and standardisation. Powder metallurgy is a process technique for fabrication of materials as well as other final products. The course provides knowledge for planning and managing production processes of metal powder products.
