International Student Conference ISC2025 (Bor, Serbia)

From October 22 to 25, members of the Department of Materials and Metallurgy, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana, participated in the International Conference IOC2025, held at Borsko Jezero in Bor, Serbia, accompanied by students from the department.

At the International Student Conference ISC2025, our students proudly and successfully represented the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, attracting considerable attention from the professional community with their research contributions.

Tim Drevenšek and Nežka Valenčič, master’s students of Metallurgy and Materials, presented their paper from the PUŠ project titled “Optimisation of Heat Treatment to Achieve High Mechanical Properties of an AlSi10MgMn Alloy Product for E-Mobility.”

Enej Kavčič, a young researcher, presented the contribution “Influence of Heat Treatment on the Microstructure Development and Hardness of the Alloy EN AW-7175 with Lanthanum,” for which he received the first prize for the outstanding execution and presentation of his work.
