Sugar lace is a textile-culinary design project in the progress, which is testing a new forms of art intervention. Through the sugar lace in a cup of coffee approaches the elements of the textile traditions into the everyday environment, especially to achieve the spontaneous interaction between the people and the preciousness of traditional Slovenian bobin lace making culture. Edible lace is unobtrusive invitation to the sweet gourmet world.
Sugar laces were publicly presented at the 34. Idrija Lace Festival, where they were when ordering coffee available to visitors of the festival.
