M5 – Modelling of processes

Goals: acquiring knowledge needed for development of integral and deepened computer models for analysing processes that occur in materials at various space and time scales during mechanical, thermal, electromagnetic and chemical loads and that occur during testing, manufacturing and use of materials. Constitutive modelling of materials, methods for making non-linear problems discrete in space and time, methods for non-linear contact problems among greater number of deformable bodies, formulations of target functions for the use of inverse and optimisation methods, modelling at level of atoms, modelling at mezoscopic and macroscopic space level, aggregation of simulations at various space and time scales, analysis of simulation results and visualisation will be presented.
