Materials in electrotechnics and electronics

Students familiarise themselves with the functional use of materials, their electrical and magnetic properties and other functional characteristics important in electrical engineering. The aim of this course is to acquire knowledge relating to materials and manufacturing technologies of these materials for the needs of electrical engineering. Students learn, among other technologies, about technology equipment and related technological processes for manufacturing integrated circuits and microsystems, usage of different methods for characterisation, material design possibilities and materials and manufacturing technologies impact on environment.
