Goals: acquiring knowledge of materials at nanoscale level and understanding the differences in structure and properties of nanomaterials with other materials at micron- or higher level. Topics: perspectives of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, nanotools, methods of synthesis, physics of nanomaterials (properties and phenomena), chemistry of nanomaterials (synthesis and modification) and designing nanoequipment. Students will be acquainted with basic principles of chemistry and physics of materials to acquire fundamental knowledge to understand the properties of modern nanomaterials.
