Goals: acquiring knowledge about fundamental physical laws, understanding theories in physics and ability to use them. The course is based on performing and interpreting experiments with emphasis on learning standard methods for solving problems and acquiring calculation skills. Other topics include: optics, relativity theory and quantum mechanics. The course is fundamental for acquiring other professional competences related to understanding properties of materials, material structure and development of new materials.
