This course provides doctoral students with theoretical reflection in the field of artistic research in textiles and clothing. Doctoral students analyse the phenomena and specificities of the artistic field of textiles and clothing and relate textile and fashion design to consumption, communication processes, cultural practices and systems of production. PhD students learn to interpret and critically argue, judge, classify and validate the content and results of their work and to establish hypotheses and conclusions, emphasising an interdisciplinary approach.
