The exhibition takes place as part of the Slovenian Jewellery Week from 9 May to 9 June 2024 at the Carinthian Regional Museum in Slovenj Gradec.
It presents innovative design works by students of the Master’s programme, who have dedicated themselves to the design of contemporary unique jewellery.
The students drew inspiration from the Slovenian artistic heritage, especially the sculptures of Forme Vive in
Kostanjevica na Krki and the industrial heritage of bicycles and typewriters from the former Rog factory in Ljubljana.
The inspiration was to create a model using 3D modelling in Blender. This was followed by transforming the model into functional jewellery – mainly earrings, brooches, bracelets, necklaces and collars.
In this way, the fashion and textiles students tried their hand at two new areas that allow them to expand their activities – 3D modelling and jewellery design.
The exhibition was created in collaboration between NTF and the Rog Centre and the innovative company NPPower d.o.o. from Maribor, which printed the metal jewellery pieces.
The presentation lecture and guided tour of the exhibition by Prof. Karin Košak will take place on 6 June at 18:00 at the Carinthian Regional Museum in Slovenj Gradec.
