Hidden symmetries

Plants and trees are a hidden source of life — the breathing apparatus of the world. Hidden from the eye, too, is the subcutaneous geometry that animates them and holds them upright. Every smallest element has its place in this order and is a meaningful part of a greater whole — which in turn is but a fractal in various patterns, each repeating in its own way like a genetic code, an all-encompassing code of the ecosystem. It is no coincidence that micro and macro systems resemble one another.

The project Hidden Symmetries (2025) is exhibited as part of the BIEN 2025 textile art biennial and can be seen at the Kranjska Hiša Gallery in Kranj until July 8, 2025.
