The opening of the exhibition KamenKapaStreha took place at exhibition pavillion Mitnica, Snežniška 5 and Aškerčeva 12 on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 3 p.m.. This event is the result of an international project RoofOfRock, coordinated by the Geological Survey of Slovenia. Students, using textiles and architectural language presented outstanding elements of the Slovenian natural stone, especially platy limestone. This stone applies to indigenous building materials and is closely related to the traditional life of people of Karst region and represents a noble choice for modern architecture. Participants: Faculty of Architecture – Seminar of vernacular architecture, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engeneering – Department of Gelogy and Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design, Geological Survey of Slovenia, Mineral Ljubljana and Institute of Construction.
