Changed enrolment conditions for all university study programmes in 2022/23

Changed enrolment conditions for all university study programmes will come into force at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in the academic year 2022/2023.

The change will affect students graduating from secondary school with the vocational matura exam. Enrolment into university study programmes will be available only to those students who will complete a predetermined secondary school programme.
The key changes are in point b and are in bold.

1) Enrolment into the university study programme Graphic and Interactive Communications is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in one of the following secondary school professional programmes: graphic technician, media technician, photography technician, design technician, fashion designer, computer technician, electrical technician, mechatronics technician, wood industry technician, chemical technician, and have successfully passed an exam in one of the subjects of the general matura exam; the chosen subject must not be the subject that the candidate has already passed at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme.

 

2) Enrolment into the university study programme Textile and Clothing Planning is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in arranging, biotechnical, economic, electrical, pharmaceutical, construction, graphic, chemical, agricultural, clothing, wood industry, logistics, media, medical, design, environmental, pedagogical, business, computer, mechanical, textile, administrative, veterinary, health, food school programme to obtain secondary school professional education in the same professional field, and have successfully passed an exam in one of the subjects of the general matura exam; the chosen subject must not be the subject that the candidate has already passed at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme.

 

3) Enrolment into the university study programme Textile and Fashion Design is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in arranging, biotechnical, economic, electrical, pharmaceutical, construction, graphic, chemical, agricultural, clothing, wood industry, logistics, media, medical, design, environmental, pedagogical, business, computer, mechanical, textile, administrative, veterinary, health, food school programme to obtain secondary school professional education in the same professional field, and have successfully passed an exam in one of the subjects of the general matura exam; the chosen subject must not be the subject that the candidate has already passed at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme.

All candidates need to pass a test of artistic talent, which includes a test of freehand drawing and painting of a human figure, a test of clothing design and a test of textile design and colour sensitivity, and an interview with a committee.

 

4) Enrolment into the university study programme Geology is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in geotechnical, construction, mechanical, forestry, chemical, wood industry, nature protection, environmental, computer, agricultural, electrical, pedagogical, technical, veterinary, health, pharmaceutical, medical school programme to obtain secondary school professional education, and have successfully passed the matura exam subject mathematics or a foreign language if they have already passed mathematics at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme,
  4. d) who completed an equivalent education programme abroad.

 

5) Enrolment into the university study programme Geotechnology and the Environment is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in one of the following programmes to obtain secondary school professional education: electrical technician, surveying technician, geotechnician, forestry technician, construction technician, chemical technician, ship mechanical technician, wood industry technician, metallurgy technician, nature protection technician, environmental technician, mechanical technician, electronic communications technician, mechatronics technician, computer technician, optician technician or glass technician, and have passed an exam in one of the subjects of the general matura exam (mathematics, physics, foreign language); the chosen subject must not be the subject that the candidate has already passed at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme.

 

6) Enrolment into the university study programme Materials Engineering is enabled for the candidates:

  1. a) who have passed the general matura exam,
  2. b) who have passed the vocational matura exam in one of the following specifically defined programmes to obtain secondary school professional education: metallurgy technician, mechanical technician, electrical technician, surveying technician, geotechnician, construction technician, chemical technician, ship mechanical technician, wood industry technician, nature protection technician, environmental technician, electronic communications technician, mechatronics technician, computer technician, and have successfully passed an exam in one of the subjects of the general matura exam; the chosen subject must not be the subject that the candidate has already passed at the vocational matura exam,
  3. c) who have prior to 1 June 1995 completed any four-year secondary school programme.
