The course consists of four modules for 5 ECTS.
Special 2D in 3D textiles – application in civil engineering
Structure, geometry and properties of 2D and 3D textiles and textile reinforced concrete elements in dependence on fibre, textile structure and reinforcement parameters.
3D concrete forms: uniaxial, biaxial and multiaxial structures. Loadings, forces, strain and stress tensions, deflection, ultimate load, cracking performances
Special 2D in 3D textiles – application in aeronautics
Structure, geometry and properties of 2D and 3D textiles and textile composites in dependence on textile structure, composite structure and way of strengthening.
3D forms: thick planar sheets with multiple layers of yarns, hollow structures, complex shapes and thin 3D shells.
Applications in aeronautics – loadings, forces, strain and stress tensions, shear, current applications, properties and advantages. Planning new applications and predicting their properties.
Special 2D in 3D textiles – application in medicine
Material composition and structure of the textiles for medical use, paramedical textiles (narrow and tubular fabrics, textile surfaces and shells, nets, sewn and seamless knitwear).
Permeable properties (thermoregulation, hydrokinetics, respiratory activity) and UV protective properties of textiles for medical and paramedical use.
Bandaging, compression and supporting properties of textiles for medical and paramedical use.
Hygiene and other properties of textiles for medical and paramedical use.
Special 2D in 3D textiles – application in sport
Power stretch and support properties of textiles for sport and leisure
Specific properties of knitted fabrics and knitwear for improving sport efficiency
