T-P-2 (textile engineering) Structure and properties of textiles – selected topics

Objectives of the course include: deeper knowledge on structure of yarns, woven and knitted fabrics, knitwear and nonwovens; identification of structural and processing parameters impact on final properties of textile products; recognition of existing complex applications and investigation of new applications.
The content of the course comprises: classification and analysis of the impact of fibres, technological parameters and processes on structural, textural, mechanical-physical and rheological characteristics of different types of line, planar and 3D textiles; geometry, structure and properties of yarns, woven and knitted fabrics, knitwear and nonwovens; structure and properties of 3D textiles; models for illustration of characteristics of line textiles, models of woven fabrics and knitted loops; planning of yarns, woven and knitted structures, knitwear and nonwovens according to requested parameters and properties; planning new applications of 3D textiles and predicting their properties.
