In the academic year 2017/2018 work at Typeface design course was dedicated to the production of serif and handwritten typefaces with which we celebrated two anniversaries of this year; 100th and 60th anniversary of the death of Ivan and Izidor Cankar. They both dealt with poetry and prose, so it was entirely in the spot that students were placed in front of the challenge of planning, designing and producing serif typefaces that are more commonly used in longer texts. Each student was thus placed in front of the challenge of creating a set of characters that must contain serfs. In addition, students had to recreate the manuscript (signature) of both authors. The printed scripts thus contain a touch of the period when both Cankars created their works.
