Typography World Map 2

About project

In the winter semester of academic year 22/23, master students in the course Creative Typography individually created various typographic solutions, which were related to the sets presented through the seminar of the course and were related to the semester project Typographic Map World. Thus, in 15 weeks, they were faced with the challenge of creating 11 tasks that helped them choose the right features, shapes, colours … in order to apply the findings appropriately in the final (semester) assignment.

As part of the semester assignment, students were required to plan and design the letters needed to print the selected  state in English. The letters had to have the characteristics of accidental / decorative / title letters (letters of special shapes, eg: hollow, dashed, striped, decorated, shaded, doubled or multiplied strokes, stencilled…). In addition, they had to research the characteristics that are typical of the chosen country (cultural, historical, industrial…) and include them in the produced letters. These were used to list the country without borders that defines it.
