Development of innovative “waste-to-value” technologies for sustainable rare earth recycling and multi-value magnet recycling
The project enables the sustainable transformation of rare-earth waste into high-performance Nd-Fe-B magnets using innovative waste-to-value technologies. The main objectives of the project are to enable the classification and extraction of REEs with high efficiency, to produce high-purity metal precursors, and to design next-generation magnets to meet the needs of electromobility.
Duration: 1.4.2026 – 31.5.2029.
The total estimated value of the project is EUR 8,069,708.00, and the value of co-financing is EUR 4,999,305.75.
The operation was selected for co-financing under the Public Tender “Promotion of the Implementation of Research and Development Programmes (TRL 3-6)” (JR RR PROGRAMMES (TRL 3-6)).
The operation is partly financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and the budget of the Republic of Slovenia.
